Can we ignore science?

It is necessary to acknowledge the complex relationship between science and democracy, in order to understand the functioning of them.

In this world, science is applied to a variety of disciplines or intellectual activities as well as scientific method. To expect, most students who are studying Biology or Communication course believe that, usually science is defined as the possibility of making hypotheses which are susceptible of some sort of proof or check. This implies that science can be made to recur in order to submit themselves to check and provide a theoretical explanation.

Majority believed that a knowledge of the basic principles and concepts underlying science is an essential part of citizenship in a liberal democratic society. However, what is the link between science and democracy? Is science important? The Scientific Revolution (mid 1500s) claimed about how society functioned needed to be based upon solid scientific evidence rather than just speculation. It solidified the concept that methods of enquiry needed to be methodical and observations needed to be detailed and credible. It pushed ahead the Democratic Revolution (mid 1700s) which proved that people control society.

It was during this phase in history that people began to recognize and accept that together they organized and controlled society. Therefore, it required human intervention to solve human problems and also required humans to cooperate to achieve goals, which showed the important role of science playing in a liberal democratic society.  There are lots of things we might not interest at all in the world but can we just simply ignore them? The answer is no. Science is inseparable from our life.
